What we collect
Account details (email, name and avatar from your sign-in provider), the financial data you enter or import (transactions, accounts, budgets, goals, notes), receipt images you upload, and basic technical logs needed to run and secure the service.
How we use it
Only to provide the app: showing your balances and budgets, converting currencies, extracting receipt details, and answering your questions in the AI assistant. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
AI processing
When you use receipt scanning or the assistant, the relevant text or image is sent to our AI provider to produce a result. It is used to answer that request, not to train public models with your identity attached.
Where it lives
Data is stored in a managed Postgres database with row-level security, so a row is only ever readable by the account that owns it. Receipt files sit in private storage scoped to your user folder.
Retention and deletion
We keep your data while your account exists. Deleting your account from Settings removes your records and receipt files permanently, normally immediately and at most within 30 days for backups.
Your rights
You can access and export your data at any time from Reports, correct it in-app, and delete it entirely. For any other request email support@budgetflow.ai.
Cookies
We use only the storage needed to keep you signed in and remember your theme preference. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
